Context: The Challenge
Turning Spada’s creative vision into an interactive web experience came with several challenges:
➔ Capturing the brand’s voice in two languages: The website had to authentically reflect Spada’s tongue-in-cheek, culturally nuanced tone in both Arabic and English.
➔ Building unique interactive features: Our client didn’t want a run-of-the-mill online store. They envisioned custom flows to engage their audience:
- Promo code gamification: A feature for generating unique promo codes with tiered rewards, turning discounts into a fun game rather than a bland coupon.
- “Secret Club” membership: An exclusive club sign-up experience where fans complete a detailed questionnaire to join Spada’s Secret Club, unlocking insider perks and content.
- “Help Us” challenge page: A participatory section where users can submit ideas and even upload media to contribute to Spada’s future products or campaigns, with rewards for top contributors.
➔ Mobile-first user experience: With roughly 70% of visitors expected on smartphones, the site needed a responsive design that felt smooth and engaging on smaller screens (without compromising the desktop experience for the other 30%).
➔ Seamless integration with Zid: The new platform had to sync with Spada’s existing Zid eCommerce system so that product management, order fulfillment, and customer service could continue in one unified workflow. Any solution would need to plug into Zid’s APIs and data models without a hitch.
The Solution
Veroke answered Spada’s call with a full-stack solution, working closely with Spada’s team to ensure every pixel and feature aligned with their vision. The project started with UX/UI design; edgy graphics, witty copy, and local cultural references gave the site a unique Spada feel.
Veroke’s designers built the interface to toggle effortlessly between Arabic and English. A mobile-first approach was central to the design process, guaranteeing that the experience felt just as engaging on a smartphone as on a desktop.
Under the hood, Veroke’s developers implemented a suite of custom modules to bring Spada’s unique ideas to life:
- Product Catalog: A sleek catalog showcasing Spada’s sparkling water offerings (e.g. 250 ml packs), with intuitive browsing and quick add-to-cart features.
- Subscription Packages: Flexible subscription options (monthly, quarterly, annual) that allow loyal customers to get their Spada water delivered regularly, managed via a user-friendly subscription portal.
- Secret Club Onboarding: A dedicated section for Spada’s “Secret Club” where users can apply to join by filling out an engaging, multi-step form. This flow captures member details and interests, laying the groundwork for a passionate community.
- Promo Code Generator: A gamified discount system that lets users create and redeem unique promo codes. The site automatically handles code generation and tracks redemptions, with tiered prize levels to make promotions feel like a playful challenge.
- “Help Us” Challenge Page: An interactive submission portal where customers can help shape Spada’s brand. Users can send in ideas, text, or even upload images/videos for challenges posed by Spada (for example, suggesting a new flavor or marketing stunt). The backend securely stores these submissions and notifies Spada’s team to review entries and reward contributors.
- Content & Support Sections: Beyond commerce features, Veroke built out all the supporting pages for a rich brand experience – including an FAQ knowledge base to answer common questions, a media hub for videos and photos, contact forms for inquiries, and admin reporting tools to monitor site activity and user submissions.
- Zid Platform Integration: Every feature was engineered to work hand-in-hand with Spada’s Zid eCommerce backend. The website’s product catalog, orders, subscriptions, and customer inquiries all synchronize directly with Zid, meaning Spada’s staff can manage inventory, track sales, and assist customers through their familiar dashboard without missing a beat.
The Results
Spada’s new online platform launched successfully, earning immediate praise for how visually engaging and fun it is to use. The site delivers a smooth shopping experience on both mobile and desktop, while weaving in the quirky features that set Spada apart. As a result, what could have been a simple product website became an interactive hub for the Spada community:
